Our Staff

The Staff of the Center for Addiction and Family Counseling is experienced certified chemical dependency counselors, mental health professionals, psichiatrist, psychologist, master social workers, family counselors, and prevention specialists, with supervision of medical director. We speak Spanish and English, working as a team committed to providing quality care to Hispanic and English population being served.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:

JAVIER A. ELIZALDE, NCAC II, CCS, ICCDP-D, (English -Spanish) Master Degree in Mental Health, Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor Level II, International Certified in Co-Occurring Disorders, Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) over 25 years of experience, working in the substance abuse, mental health, with families, couples and co-occurring disorders, also is an approved Clinical Evaluator for Georgia DHR and for DOT.

Medical Director

Dr. Benjamin Herrera, MD- Psychiatrist , bilingue (English and Spanish) is a psychiatrist specialized in diagnosis, treatment (medications) and psicoterapia for mental disorders. Dr.Benjamin Herrera has over 35 years of experience working with Adults, Adolescents and Children. Dr. Benjamin Herrera spends time during consultation, do not be surprised if it takes 1 hour or more in their initial appointment. Dr. Benjamin Herrera is accepting new patients and he receives medicaid, medicare and most health insurance.

COUNSELOR

Mr. Rafael Pinzon, B.Ed. is a bilingual (English-Spanish) certified counselor, and is working in his master degree. He runs the groups in Spanish and English. With over 20 years of experience with youths and adults, and he also worked in Colombia for 5 years as a group sessions for a juvenil Center.

COUNSELOR

Ms. Awilda Gonzalez, MSW, bilingual counselor with more 25 years of experience working with families, couples, and adolescents. "Miss Windy" feels comfortable working in group or individual sessions on values clarification, mental health, parenting, addiction field, as well AIDS prevention.

COUNSELOR

Ms. Anayansi Martinez, is a bilingual counselor for our Anger Mangement Program, Values Clarification Program, and DUI Intervention Program Level I (short term), and Drugs possession offenders, court ordered. Yanci manages individual sessions. She is recess for a feww weeks.

GENERAL OFFICE MANAGER

Mrs. Gaby F. Zavaleta is our office General office manager for all our locations, Gaby has a bachelor's degree as executive secretary with over 20 years experience in office management. She is responsible to coordinate counselors schedules, clients' appointments in our different locations.

NORCROSS OFFICE MANAGER

Miss. Andrea E. Falco is our new office manager in Norcross location, she is so nice with the clients, and she always is there to help you in anyway. Welcome Andrea !!!
